Mrs India 2017 Finalist Ruchita Mehta chheda
1. What Motivates you to get out of yourbed in the morning ?
Every morning I sweep out of my bed for the new challenges which i love taking up be it work family or social. My responsibilities towards my family and my work motivates me to get on my feet and start a great day. Every night before going to bed i should feel the satisfaction of living the day and that peaceful sleep motivates me to rise the next morning.
2. Your most memorable moment with Mrs India 2017
The best moment was when I was crowned as a winner for west zone classic category. The breakfast lunches dinner when we all contestants sat together and spoke about our lives was so much fun.
One of the memorable moment was when I walked the stage with my husband it gave me immense pleasure and pride.
3. If you can be swap a role of one person from Family who that would be and why?
My mother in law. She is the strong pillar of our family. At 74 she is as active as a 20 year old ……she holds all 15 members of the family in a string of pearls and her activity towards social community is unbelievable. A widow like me at a young age, not educated to bring up 4 boys in a city like Mumbai is quite challenging.
4. What do you do when you are not working ?
I love reading when not at work. An opportunity not granted by a city like Mumbai to most of us living here…24 hours certainly seems less on all days but Sundays when not working I love spending time with family swimming lunches shopping etc……
5. How would you describe Yourself in one Word ? And Why ?
One word. Iron lady
My friends call me that and I too have started believing in it.
I am that girl who lost her husband at 26 with a 6 month old baby. I was a frog of a well and fighting all situations and hard waves of life living in a man’s world I have made my place. Fighting depression and sarcasm of the society made me an iron lady. Today I run a dance academy with 7 centres in South Mumbai. I teach dancing to disable, special and underprivileged children. I am associated with an ngo for 9 years. I am married again with a beautiful family. I sm part of rotary club of Bayview Mumbai. At 40 I am walking the ramp of mrs india. Just trying to add as many feathers of different hues to my hat to enjoy this beautiful journey of life. Having experienced varied shades in this life I hold this drive to encourage many more women to be strong and live with dignity.
6. Who inspires you and why
My mother is my inspiration and my pillar of life. She steps very carefully because she knows I am following her footsteps. My parents have always stood by Me and allowed me to make my decisions right or wrong. They said mistakes will teach you to improve and when you are victorious you will value the hard work.
7. What is your favorite Quote and why ?
Loads of quotes I have read and heard but the quote I love and follow is
Never regret your past live your today to the fullest and always Try to plan the future
I believe quotes should be inspiring and motivating but before anything else it should be experienced by oneself. Regretting over deeds done will never change your present or future but teaches us a lesson so why not enjoy your today and energise your future.
8. What is Your Favorite Outfit ?
My favourite attire is always clothes which I am comfortable in and enhances my beauty. Any outfit which makes be look elegantly sexy would be my first choice though my wardrobe consists of shorts to skirts, jeans to gowns and sarees to Chudidhars.
9. If your want to go on Vacation what would be your plan
My first priority for a holiday would adventures and a fun travel package.
I would plan my iternary which would include excursions, luxury, mode of perfect transport and very important a holiday which includes sports…..
Place definitely is least important as I want to explore the world starting from seeing india first…..on a whole
10. What is your spiritual practice
Spiritually I do pray and chant. But for me most important is service before self.
It is my motto that each day I need to sleep in the night only after getting a smile on any one o individual human being be it a helper or a needy in any small or big way I can.
