Mrs India 2017 Finalist Swetha Singh
1. What Motivates you to get out of your bed in the morning ?
I believe that the very fact that my loved ones and I wake up to another day is a miracle in itself and a reason to celebrate. There couldn’t be a bigger motivation than that.
2. Your most memorable moment with Mrs India 2017
Was when we were given our Semi finalist sashes, it felt like we had carved a new identity for ourselves. It was such a great value addition to oneself, I felt like a queen indeed.
3. If you can be swap a role of one person from Family who that would be and why?
It would definitely be my mother, she has been my role model ever since I was a little child. She represents a woman of substance who follows the virtues of hard work, dedication, commitment and patience. She to me is a picture of perfection and I would like to be a shadow of hers.
4. What do you do when you are not working ?
I am a child of Nature and love taking long walks by myself to take the time to enjoy every little beautiful detail of God’s creation. I love painting and cooking, both of which I believe are art forms that cannot be quantified and can do wonders to human senses. Both these art forms give me a deep sense of contentment and peace comparable to that of meditation. I am a promoter of Yoga and have been exploring Hatha yoga for a couple of years now. I do dance occasionally and believe that dancing together can be a great way to connect, communicate and share happiness.
5. How would you describe Yourself in one Word ? And Why ?
An ‘optimist’ by nature I live everyday as if it were a miracle. I largely believe that positivism is my biggest strength and the tools that help me the most in keeping up my optimism are music and my smile. Smile is the best curve on a woman’s body and I always make it a point to wear it. Being positive not only keeps me happy always but also helps keep people around me happy.
6. Who inspires you and why ?
The 2 men in my life – my father and my husband don’t cease to inspire me even for a day. Their patience, broad mindedness, philanthropic nature and compassion is something I aspire to possess someday. As men, they have never been manipulative and have given me all the space to grow and learn.Their support throughout my journey of Mrs India South has been incredible and without them this title would have never been possible. To top all this I must admit they have a great sense of humour and they always keep me smiling.
7. What is your favorite Quote and why ?
“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”
― Mae West
I believe everyone has been blessed with the opportunity to live life the way they want and they should. Do not live life even for a moment by morals not defined by you, we should find our purpose and live the journey we all want to. No one is ever right or wrong, it’s always based on perspective so do it anyways. Wear your heart on your sleeve and feel proud about it. Live life big time and do what makes you happy.
8. What is Your Favorite Outfit ?
I love wearing sarees though I hardly get the opportunity to due to the nature of my work.
9. If your want to go on Vacation what would be your plan
Like I said earlier, I am a nature’s child and anywhere where I could get close to the nature – green valleys, flowing rivers, well spread lakes, massive sea lines and loads of trees would be the perfect plan. I love the sound of nature and just spending nights under star studded skies would more than perfect.
10. What is your spiritual practice
I believe in living a life of gratitude and take sometime each day to connect to the Universe by extending my gratitude for all the things I have been blessed with, even the smallest of things in life. I believe this practice awakens my spirituality and keeps me close to my existence.
