Mrs India 2019 2018 Finalist

Mrs India 2018 Finalist

  1. How you start your day?

Mrs India Finalist: I prefer to start my day with a smile and a prayer – followed by 5 minute Buddhist Chanting.

  1. Your most memorable moment of the Year 2018?

Mrs India Finalist: When I was crowned as ‘Mrs India Karnataka Runner Up and Mrs India Karnataka Body Beautiful’ was certainly the most memorable moment for me of the Year 2018, as a woman who had really worked hard to get the crown home.

  1. What You would love to do in your free time?

Mrs India Finalist: Being an internationally recognised and an awarded writer, a blogger, a columnist, an editor and a veteran artist – my life revolves around words and colours. In my free time, I love to read a book by one of my favourite authors, or write few thought-provoking haiku or paint a canvas for my upcoming art exhibition.

  1. What is Your Favourite Outfit?

Mrs India Finalist: Quite often I design my own outfits, and the idea is to be comfortable in my own skin – and embrace the right attitude at the same time. A pair of blue denims with a white ruffled crop top impresses me – more than any other outfit.

  1. What is your favourite Vacation destination, How would you plan it ?

Mrs India Finalist: My favourite Vacation Destination is New York. My family stays there so I hardly have to plan it. It is like my second home. The fast life of this city makes me feel high on energy with endless options to explore when it comes to food, music, fashion, art and culture.

  1. If you can bring awareness about one Cause in the Society what that could be and Why?

Mrs India Finalist: As a writer I have quite often written about one cause more insistently – ‘educate every girl child’. If I am given an opportunity to bring awareness about one ‘Cause’ in the ‘Society’ it would be ‘Education for every girl’. Education is the right of every child, and is important for every child whether boy or girl.

As per the recent statistics, it is quite discouraging that some communities, especially in the rural areas of our country discriminate against the education of the girl child, restricting their role and growth to the domestic responsibilities only.

The idea to support this cause is based on the foundation that if every girl child is educated – they can contribute more to the development of their families that can play important role in the growth of our country. ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’!

  1. What is Your Favourite Dish you love to relish anytime?

Mrs India Finalist: I love Italian cuisine, and ‘Lasagne’ is one such dish I can relish anytime served with sundried tomatoes, and mouth-watering black olives. I feel blessed, if it is followed by a bite of a dessert either ‘red velvet cake’ or ‘tiramisu’.

  1. If you can eradicate one issue of the society what that could be?

Mrs India Finalist: According to me, one issue of the society that requires timely attention and eradication is ‘Marital Rape’. Somehow, in India – we refrain to talk about this fast growing issue that is affecting the self-image of many women in a negative manner.

  1. What is the Mantra of your Life?

Mrs India Finalist: ‘One life, use it well’. I have followed this mantra since the age of 17, and have always believed in this mantra. Somehow, my all achievements and credentials are an output of this belief, so far. One life, explore; learn; experiment; achieve!

  1. One New thing that You want to learn

Mrs India Finalist: I have a knack for learning languages. Other than English, Hindi and Punjabi – I have been quite fortunate to study Urdu and Italian. One language that I always want to study is Chinese. With the same thought – one new thing that I would want to learn is ‘Chinese’ language.
