Lets Know our Mrs India 2018 Finalist :
- How you start your day?
Mrs India Finalist: The first thing I do when I get up is Thank God for giving me such beautiful life and a lively day to begin with. I, being a woman, am like a full circle, which requires me to create nurture and transform, so I have to play 3 different roles, that of a wife, a mother and an individual simultaneously to get things moving. To enjoy the glow of good health, I then do my workouts and enjoy my healthy breakfast.
- Your most memorable moment of the year 2018
Mrs India Finalist: The most memorable moment of the year 2018 was the day I adapted a girl child for education. This is something very close to my heart and it brought tears to my eyes to know that a girl deprived of basic human right, ie. Education, can be educated now through my efforts.
- What you would love to do in your free time?
Mrs India Finalist: I believe there is nothing more precious in the world than your own family. I am pretty much a family person and I love spending my free time with my family, enjoying the little things in life and cherishing those moments.
- What is your favourite outfit?
Mrs India Finalist: I am an Indian by heart, mind and soul and I simply love wearing sarees, which makes me feel connected to the Indian tradition. It makes me feel grounded and deep-rooted to the glorious Indian culture. No doubt this outfit has become the most sought-after piece of Indian clothing abroad.
- What is your favourite vacation destination. How would you plan it?
Mrs India Finalist: God’s own country – Kerala is my favourite vacation destination. True to its name, its an oasis of natural splendor as well as culture and tradition. Be it the backwaters and the houseboats, or the serene beaches or the tea plantations, or be it Ayurveda or Kathakali, everything out there is simply outstanding. I would love to explore everything I mention and much more.
- If you can bring awareness about one cause, what would it be and why?
Mrs India Finalist: Girl Child Education is one cause which I am already working for. For thousands of disadvantaged girl children across India, only education can give them an opportunity to grow, learn, play and realize their full potential. I have associated myself with NanhiKali Foundation and have also adopted a Nanhi Kali girl for a year. It gives me immense satisfaction to know that a girl is getting educated through my efforts.
- What is your favourite dish you love to relish anytime?
Mrs India Finalist: When it comes to dishes, its mostly “Maa ke Haath ka khana” which people love. But I find myself lucky to have 2 people, my mom and my hubby. I love halwas prepared by my Mom and I love continental dishes/salads prepared by my hubby. You guys are most welcome to ask these recipies!! J
- If you can eradicate one issue of the society, what would it be?
Mrs India Finalist: The most disgusting, horrific and evil issue engulfing the society today is Rape of Minor Girls.
Our honourable President, Mr. Ram Nath Kovind has passed a law for death penalty for rapists of girls below 12 years. For above 12 years, it is just imprisonment. I would like to bring equality in the execution of punishment, irrespective of the age of the girl, because a rape is a rape, be it a 12 year old girl or a 40 year old woman. There should be “ZERO TOLERANCE” for such disgusting acts.
- What is the Mantra of your Life?
Mrs India Finalist: I would like to mention a quote by the famous Russian author Leo Tolstoy :
“There is only one time that’s important – NOW, because it is the only time we have POWER.
My Mantra is to enjoy each and every moment of life, in whatever you have. Live life to its fullest without digging out into the past or being too worried about the future.
- One new thing you would want to learn?
Mrs India Finalist: I would like to learn something which the society does not perceive associated with women. It could be anything like Horse Riding or Polo or Boxing or Golf or Car Repairing, to break the stigma that women cannot do such things. WOMEN CAN DO ANYTHING!!!
